Oak Savanna Burn

Oak Savanna

It was a clear, beautiful day yesterday and the winds were out of the south which made it an ideal day to burn the Oak Savanna floor at the farm. It was a slow but steady burn, taking three hours to burn roughly 2.5 acres. Soon we will have Trout Lilies, Prairie Trilliums, and Mayapples popping up through the ashes. Spring is finally here!
