I found this guy hanging out near Wilson Hall at Fermilab this morning. Red-tailed Hawks are the most numerous and conspicuous Hawk in northern Illinois, yet I can't help scanning the trees and skies for their presence every time I'm on the road. There was another one perched on a fence post near the DZero experiment trailers as I drove in, but decided not to disturb him by stopping and trying to take a photograph.
